Gospel Country singing couple Jeff and Sheri Easter perform this classic hymn “The Sweet By-and-By” at the Tent Revival Gaither Homecoming concert at the Billy Graham Library in North Carolina. This Christian hymn was written by S. Fillmore Bennett and music by Joseph P. Webster. This hymn, immensely popular in the nineteenth century, became a Gospel standard and has appeared in hymnals ever since. Be blessed!

Jeff & Sheri Easter have won several awards through their career. Among them: 5 Dove Awards, 2 Grammy Award nominations and 2 International Country Gospel Music Association Awards. Jeff Easter and Sheri Williamson met in August 1984 during the Albert E. Brumley Sundown to Sunup Gospel Sing in Arkansas. At the time, Jeff was the bassist for the Singing Americans, while Sheri was performing with The Lewis Family. After being introduced, they married ten months later. After that, Jeff and Sheri traveled and performed as part of The Lewis Family, until they decided to pursue a career alone in 1988. Ivan Parker delivered a wonderful performance of the the classic hymn “Jesus Paid It All.” This song is a traditional American hymn about the penal substitutionary atonement for sin by the death of Jesus. The song references many Bible verses, including Romans 5 (“Jesus’ sacrifice gives life”) and Isaiah 1:18 (“a crimson flow”). The song lyrics were written in 1865 by Elvina M. About Ivan Parker

A North Carolina-born preacher’s kid, Ivan Parker is among the best-loved artists in gospel music. He traveled with the award-winning Gold City quartet, for more than a decade, before embarking on a solo career in 1994. During his years with Gold City, the group gained national notoriety, achieved 19 Top Ten hits, including a 1993 Dove Award for Southern Gospel Song of the Year by the Gospel Music Association.

Today, Ivan is an award-winning solo performer who was inducted into the Alabama Music Hall of Fame in 1993 and has received more than 20 awards from a variety of leading fan and trade publications. His contagious warmth, coupled with his genuine love for gospel music, gives Ivan a unique connection with the songs he communicates to countless thousands every year. He is a favorite on the Homecoming stage and as a solo artist. In 2008, the Gaither Gospel Series released The Best Of Ivan Parker on DVD and CD, which peaked on Billboard Magazine’s Music Video Chart at #2. Ivan and his wife, Teresa, reside in Nashville, Tennessee. They are the parents of two grown sons, Ryan and Josh. About Jimmy Fortune

Born in Staunton, Virginia on March 11, 1955, Fortune began his career as a singer in high school as a member of the Nelcon County High School choir. It was in 1981 when Fortune was discovered by Lew DeWitt of The Statler Brothers. He replaced Lew DeWitt and became an integral part of the group, and he wrote several of their latter-day hits, including “Elizabeth,” “Too Much on My Heart,” and “More Than a Name on a Wall.” He spent 21 years touring, singing, and performing with the Statler Brother. In 2002, after the Statlers disbanded, Fortune continued his career as a solo artist. Fortune and the Statlers were welcomed into the Country Music Association Hall of Fame in 2008.

About Michael English

Michael English (born on April 12, 1962 in Kenansville, North Carolina) is a Christian singer who has been recording music since 1972. A native of Wallace, North Carolina, English performed in his family’s singing group, The Singing Samaritans, from 1972 until 1980. He left the group in 1982 and joined The Goodmans. His first big success in southern gospel music with the live recording of what would become his signature song, “I Bowed On My Knees (And Cried Holy).” He joined and became a lead singer for the Gaither Vocal Band in the late ’80s, Michael English helped popularize modern Southern gospel. He’d later leave the group to become one of the biggest stars in Southern gospel and CCM music in the early ’90s. He racked up four Dove Awards — including Artist of the Year, Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year, and Male Vocalist of the Year.

Alan Jackson was born in the small town of Newnan, Georgia, on October 17, 1958.
