You Must Be Born Again Lyrics

Jeff & Sheri Easter

You must be born again
To enter Heaven’s gate
You must be born again
Oh, friend, why do you wait
If you get down on your knees
And seek Him for His love
He will guide you safely
To that land above

Oh, you must be born again, my dear brother
(Ooh, my dear brother)
Oh, you must be born again to reach that goal
(Ooh, to reach the goal)
If you look to God above and heed the warning
(Ooh, heed the warning)
He will keep you free from sin and save your soul
We read about His coming
About the saving power
And no one knows the time
And no one knows the hour
He will come like a thief
In the middle of the night
To gather all His children
So get your business right

Oh, you must be born again, my dear brother
(Ooh, my dear brother)
Oh, you must be born again to reach that goal
(Ooh, to reach the goal)
If you look to God above and heed the warning
(Ooh, heed the warning)
He will keep you free from sin and save your soul

As we travel day by day
We meet friends ‘long the way
Who need the Savior’s love
To walk the narrow way
If we want to hold His hand
And live in that great land
We must fall on our knees
And pray and pray and pray
Oh, you must be born again, my dear brother
(Ooh, my dear brother)
Oh, you must be born again to reach that goal
(Ooh, to reach the goal)
If you look to God above and heed the warning
(Ooh, heed the warning)
He will keep you free from sin and save your soul

Oh, you must be born again, my dear brother
(Ooh, my dear brother)
Oh, you must be born again to reach that goal
(Ooh, to reach the goal)
If you look to God above and heed the warning
(Ooh, heed the warning)
He will keep you free from sin and save your soul

Yeah, He will keep you free from sin
He’ll save your soul, soul

Mercy Walked In Lyrics

Song by Gordon Mote

I stood in the courtroom, the judge turned my way
It looks like you’re guilty now what do you say?
I spoke up, “Your honor, I have no defense”
But that’s when mercy walked in

Mercy walked in and pleaded my case
Called to the stand, God’s saving grace
The blood was presented that covered my sin
Forgiven when mercy walked in

I stood there and wondered how could this be
Someone so guilty had just been set free
My chains were broken, I felt born again
The moment that mercy walked in, oh-oh

Mercy walked in and pleaded my case
Called to the stand, God’s saving grace
The blood was presented that covered my sin
Forgiven when mercy walked in

The blood was presented that covered my sin
Forgiven when mercy walked in

Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior Lyrics

Pass me not, O gentle Savior,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.

Refrain:
Savior, Savior,
Hear my humble cry,
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.

Let me at Thy throne of mercy
Find a sweet relief;
Kneeling there in deep contrition,
Help my unbelief.

Trusting only in Thy merit,
Would I seek Thy face;
Heal my wounded, broken spirit,
Save me by Thy grace.

Thou the spring of all my comfort,
More than life to me,
Whom have I on earth beside Thee,
Whom in Heav’n but Thee.

Life’s Railway To Heaven Lyrics

Life is like a mountain railway,
With an engineer that’s brave;
We must make the run successful,
From the cradle to the grave;
Watch the curves, the fills, the tunnels;
Never falter, never fail;
Keep your hands upon the throttle,
And your eyes upon the rail.

Blessed Savior, Thou wilt guide us,
Till we reach that blissful shore,
Where the angels wait to join us
In Thy praise forevermore.
You will roll up grades of trial;
You will cross the bridge of strife;
See that Christ is your conductor
On this lightning train of life;
Always mindful of obstruction,
Do your duty, never fail;
Keep your hands upon the throttle,
You will often find obstructions,
Look for storms and wind and rain;
On a fill, or curve, or trestle
They will almost ditch your train;
Put your trust alone in Jesus,
Never falter, never fail;
Keep your hands upon the throttle,
And your eyes upon the rail.
As you roll across the trestle,
Spanning Jordan’s swelling tide,
You behold the Union Depot
Into which your train will glide;
There you’ll meet the Sup’rintendent,
God the Father, God the Son,
With the hearty, joyous plaudit,
Weary Pilgrim, welcome home.

Jimmy Fortune Sings Classic Hymn “In The Garden” Live In Columbia, Tennessee, 2019

This is probably one of the best versions of this classic hymn “In the Garden.” What a powerful voice of Jimmy Fortune! Very captivating and what a blessing to hear him sing this. “In the Garden” (sometimes rendered by its first line “I Come to the Garden Alone” is a gospel song written by American songwriter C. Austin Miles (1868–1946), a former pharmacist who served as editor and manager at Hall-Mack publishers for 37 years. The song was first published in 1912 and popularized during the Billy Sunday evangelistic campaigns of the early twentieth century.

In the Garden

Charles A. Miles, 1913

  1. I come to the garden alone,
    While the dew is still on the roses,
    And the voice I hear falling on my ear
    The Son of God discloses.
    • Refrain:
      And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
      And He tells me I am His own;
      And the joy we share as we tarry there,
      None other has ever known.
  2. He speaks, and the sound of His voice
    Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,
    And the melody that He gave to me
    Within my heart is ringing.
  3. I’d stay in the garden with Him,
    Though the night around me be falling,
    But He bids me go; through the voice of woe
    His voice to me is calling.

I Believe Lyrics

Dailey & Vincent, Jimmy Fortune

When I see the sunrise in the mornin
When I feel the wind blow across my face
When I hear the sound of children playin
I know it’s all part of Gods’ amazing grace

and I believe, there’s a place called Heaven
and I believe, in a place called Calvary
I believe in a man who’s name is Jesus
and I believe, that he gave his life for me…

I was there the day my momma went to Heaven
I held her hand, as she closed her eyes to sleep
and I felt the power, of ten thousand angels
take her soul away, to be crowned at Jesus feet

and I believe, there’s a place called Heaven
and I believe, in a place called Calvary
I believe in a man who’s name is Jesus
and I believe, that he gave his life for me…
and I believe that he gave his life
for me

Go Rest High on That Mountain Lyrics

Song by Vince Gill

I know your life
On earth was troubled
And only you could know the pain
You weren’t afraid to face the devil
You were no stranger to the rain

Go rest high on that mountain
Son your work on earth is done
Go to heaven a-shoutin’
Love for the Father and the Son

Oh, how we cried the day you left us
We gathered ’round your grave to grieve
Wish I could see the angels faces
When they hear your sweet voice sing

Go rest high on that mountain
Son your work on earth is done
Go to heaven a-shoutin’
Love for the Father and the Son

Go rest high on that mountain
Son your work on earth is done
Go to heaven a-shoutin’
Love for the Father and the Son

Go to heaven a-shoutin’
Love for the Father and the Son

Precious Memories Lyrics

Precious memories, unseen angels
Sent from somewhere to my soul
How they linger, ever near me
And the sacred past unfolds

Precious memories, how they linger
How they ever flood my soul
In the stillness, of the midnight
Precious sacred scenes unfold

As I travel on life’s pathway
Know not what the years may hold
As I ponder, hopes grow fonder
Precious memories flood my soul
Precious memories, how they linger
How they ever flood my soul
In the stillness, of the midnight
Precious sacred scenes unfold

Precious memories, how they linger
How they ever flood my soul
In the stillness, of the midnight
Precious sacred scenes unfold
Precious sacred scenes unfold

Sweet, Sweet Spirit Lyrics

Song by David Huff, Doris Akers, and The Statesmen Quartet

There’s a sweet, sweet Spirit in this place,
cnd I know that it’s the Spirit of the Lord;
There are sweet expressions on each face,
cnd I know they feel the presence of the Lord.

Sweet Holy Spirit, Sweet heavenly Dove,
Stay right here with us, filling us with Your love.
cnd for these blessings we lift our hearts in praise;
Without a doubt we’ll know that we have been revived,
When we shall leave this place.

ROCK OF AGES CLEFT FOR ME
LET ME HIDE MYSELF IN THEE.
LET THE WATER AND THE BLOOD

II

CLOUD MY TEARS FOREVER FLOW
COULD MY ZEAL NO LANGUOR KNOW.
THESE FOR SIN COULD NOT ATONE
THOU MUST SAVE AND THOU ALONE.

III

WHILE I DRAW MY FLEETING BREATH
WHEN MINE EYES SHALL CLOSE IN DEATH.
WHEN I RISE TO WORLDS UNKNOWN
AND BEHOLD THEE ON THY THRONE.

CHORUS

BE OF SIN THE DOUBLE CURE
SAVE FROM WRATH AND MAKE ME PURE.
