What a Meeting in the Air Lyrics

Gloryland is not so far away
And we’ll reach it some glad day
Heaven’s home is now my final goal
There to live while ages roll

What a happy day ‘twill be
What a glorious jubilee
All of Heaven will be there
What a meeting in the air

Wretched lives are oh so sad to see
Those who live in misery
But in Heaven, no more grief or pain
Crippled lives are whole again

Alan Jackson’s Beautiful Rendition of “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus” – A Gospel Hymn

This is one of the most beautiful gospel songs that Alan Jackson performed. A classic hymn with a powerful message of fixing our gaze unto the Lord Jesus Christ! “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus” is a classic hymn that holds out a promise of Christ’s help for troubled souls. This song was written by Helen H. Lemmel in 1922 and inspired by the life of missionary Lilias Trotter and based off of a poem she had written entitled “Focussed: A Story and a Song.” Be blessed.

About Alan Jackson

Alan Jackson was born in the small town of Newnan, Georgia, on October 17, 1958. He grew up singing gospel music, both in church and at home with his family, and as a teenager he performed locally as part of a country duo. He left school to work and married his high-school sweetheart, Denise, who worked as an airline stewardess. In 1989, Jackson became the first artist signed to Arista’s new country division. Jackson’s debut album, Here in the Real World, was issued in 1990 and became a platinum-selling hit on the strength of four Top Five hits: the title cut, “Chasin’ That Neon Rainbow,” “Wanted,” and the first of many chart-toppers, “I’d Love You All Over Again.” He shot to full-fledged superstardom with the follow-up, 1991’s Don’t Rock the Jukebox, whose title track was an inescapable number one smash that year.

Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus Lyrics

By Alan Jackson

O soul are you weary and troubled?
No light in the darkness you see?
There’s light for a look at the Savior
And life more abundant and free

Turn you eyes upon Jesus
Look full in His wonderful face
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace

Through death into life everlasting
He passed, and we follow Him there
Over us sin no more hath dominion
For more than conquerors we are

And turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in His wonderful face
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace

His word shall not fail you, He promised
Believe Him and all will be well
Then go to a world that is dying
His perfect salvation to tell

And turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in His wonderful face
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace

And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace

The Old Rugged Cross Made The Difference Lyrics

Gaither Vocal Band

‘Twas a life filled with aimless desperation
Without hope walked the shell of a man;
Then a hand with a nailprint stretched downward,
Just one touch then a new life began.

And the old rugged cross made the difference
In a life bound for heartache and defeat;
I will praise Him forever and ever
For the cross made the difference for me.

Barren walls echoed harshness and anger
Little feet run in terror to hide;
Now those walls ring with love, warmth and laughter,
Since the giver of life moved inside.

Without hope death has wrapped them in gloom;
But at the side of a saint there’s rejoicing,
For life can’t be sealed in a tomb.

Without hope death has wrapped them in gloom;
But at the side of a saint there’s rejoicing,
For life can’t be sealed in a tomb.

These Are They Lyrics

Gaither Vocal Band

The oceans give up
All the dead that are in them,
The graves open wide
To set captives free
And those who are roaming the earth
Rise to meet them,
Abraham’s seed as the sands of the sea

These are they who have come
Out of great tribulation
They have washed their robes
In the blood of the Lamb,
They have gone through much sorrow
Into great jubilation,
They’re redeemed by the blood of the Lamb

Like a strong, mighty army
Their voices are ringing
The great cloud of witnesses
Sings freedom’s song
As they enter the country
Built by their own Father,
The promised homeland
They’ve looked for so long

And all the pilgrims and all the strangers
Will be no longer strangers
All the tired and the weary wanderers,
They will wander no more
The table is spread for the great celebration,
And the “Welcome Home” banner
Flies over the door

Sitting At The Feet Of Jesus Lyrics

Gaither Vocal Band, Ernie Haase

Sitting at the feet of Jesus
Oh, what words I hear Him say!
Happy place, so near, so precious!
May it find me there each day
Sitting at the feet of Jesus
I would look upon the past
For His love has been so gracious
It has won my heart at last

Sitting at the feet of Jesus
Where can mortals be more bless
There I lay my sins and sorrows
And when weary find sweet rest
Sitting at the feet of Jesus
There I love to weep and pray
While I from His fullness gather
Grace and comfort every day

Bless me, O my Savior, bless me
As I sit low at Thy feet
Oh, look down in love upon me
Let me see Thy face so sweet
Give me, Lord, the mind of Jesus
Make me holy as He is
May I prove I’ve been with Jesus
Who is all my righteousness
He is all my righteousness
He is all my righteousness

Reckless Love Lyrics

Gaither Vocal Band

Before I spoke a word
You were singing over me
You have been so, so good to me
Hmm, before I took a breath
You breathed your life in me
You have been so, so kind to me
Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending
Reckless of a God
Oh, it chases me down
Fights ’til I’m found leaves the 99
I couldn’t earn it
I don’t deserve it
Still you give yourself away
Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending
Reckless love of God
(Music)
When I was your foe
Still your love fought for me
You have been so, so good to me
Oh yea, when I felt no worth
You paid it all for me
You have been so, so kind to me
Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending
Reckless love of God
Oh, it chases me down
Fights ’til I’m found, leaves the 99
I couldn’t earn it
I don’t deserve it
Still you give yourself away
Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending
Reckless love of God
(Music)
There’s no shadow you won’t light up
Mountain you won’t climb up
Coming after me
There’s no wall you won’t kick down
Lie you won’t tear down
Coming after me
There’s no shadow you won’t light up
Mountain you won’t climb up
Coming after me
There’s no wall you won’t kick down
Lie you won’t tear down
Coming after me
There’s no shadow you won’t light up
Mountain you won’t climb up
Coming after me
There’s no wall you won’t kick down
Lie you won’t tear down
Coming after me
There’s no shadow you won’t light up
Mountain you won’t climb up
Coming after me
There’s no wall you won’t kick down
Lie you won’t tear down
Coming after me
Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending
Reckless love of God
Oh, it chases me down
Fights ’til I’m found leaves the 99
I couldn’t earn it
I don’t deserve it
Still you give yourself away
Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending
Reckless love of God

Satisfied (Hallelujah I Have Found Home) Lyrics

All my life I had a longing

For a drink from some clear spring,

That I hoped would quench the burning

Of the thirst I felt within.

Hallelujah! I have found Him

Whom my soul so long has craved!

Jesus satisfies my longings,

Through His blood I now am saved.

Feeding on the husks around me,

Till my strength was almost gone,

Longed my soul for something better,

Only still to hunger on.

Hallelujah! I have found Him

Whom my soul so long has craved!

Jesus satisfies my longings,

Through His blood I now am saved.

Poor I was, and sought for riches,

Something that would satisfy,

But the dust I gathered round me

Only mocked my soul’s sad cry.

Hallelujah! I have found Him

Whom my soul so long has craved!

Jesus satisfies my longings,

Through His blood I now am saved.

Well of water, ever springing,

Bread of life so rich and free,

Untold wealth that never faileth,

My Redeemer is to me.

Hallelujah! I have found Him

Whom my soul so long has craved!

Jesus satisfies my longings,

Through His blood I now am saved.

Thought Gettin’ Older Lyrics

Gaither Vocal Band

I thought gettin’ older would take a lot longer than it did
It seems like the day before
Yesterday i was just a little snotty-nosed kid
That shock of hair that i had back there went away and hid
Yeah, it did
But i thought gettin’ older would take a lot longer than it did

Well i’d have thought for sure jesus would’ve come back by now
(thought he would, thought he would)
I still believe someday i’ll see him
Riding that big white horse through the clouds
I believe it even more right now than i did when i was a kid
Still i thought gettin’ older would take a lot longer than it did
(they thought gettin’ older would take a lot longer than it did)

And i hope i have a few more years before they close that lid
Ah, come on, larry
We’ve had more fun already than i’d really like to admit
Still i thought gettin’ older would take a lot longer
(he thought gettin’ older would take a lot longer)
Still i thought gettin’ older would take a lot longer than it did
Oh, come on, kevin, show us your stuff

I’d thought by now i’d have more money than i do
(thought he would, thought he would)
Oh, but god knows best, we’ve all been blessed
(with more than enough to see us through)
And i wouldn’t trade places with anyone else, heaven and god forbid
Still i thought gettin’ older would take a lot longer than it did

Now this simple song is just two minutes long
Come on, larry, who we trying to kid?
But it sure seems like it took a lot longer than it did
(thank the lord)

“Why Me” Lyrics

Gaither Vocal Band

Why me, Lord
What have I ever done
To deserve even one
Of the pleasures I’ve known

Tell me, Lord
What did I ever do
That was worth loving You
Or the kindness You’ve shown

Lord, help me, Jesus
I’ve wasted it so
Help me, Jesus
I know what I am

Now that I know
That I’ve needed You
So help me, Jesus
My soul’s in Your hands

Try me, Lord
If You think there’s a way
I could ever repay
All I’ve taken from You

Maybe, Lord
I can show someone else
What I’ve been through myself
On my way back to You

Lord, help me, Jesus
I’ve wasted it so
Help me, Jesus
I know what I am

Now that I know
That I’ve needed You
So help me, Jesus
My soul’s in Your hands

Now that I know
That I’ve needed You
So help me, Jesus
My soul’s in Your hands
