About Ivan Parker

A North Carolina-born preacher’s kid, Ivan Parker is among the best-loved artists in gospel music. He traveled with the award-winning Gold City quartet, for more than a decade, before embarking on a solo career in 1994. During his years with Gold City, the group gained national notoriety, achieved 19 Top Ten hits, including a 1993 Dove Award for Southern Gospel Song of the Year by the Gospel Music Association.

Today, Ivan is an award-winning solo performer who was inducted into the Alabama Music Hall of Fame in 1993 and has received more than 20 awards from a variety of leading fan and trade publications. His contagious warmth, coupled with his genuine love for gospel music, gives Ivan a unique connection with the songs he communicates to countless thousands every year. Ivan Parker delivered a wonderful performance of the the classic hymn “Jesus Paid It All.” This song is a traditional American hymn about the penal substitutionary atonement for sin by the death of Jesus. The song references many Bible verses, including Romans 5 (“Jesus’ sacrifice gives life”) and Isaiah 1:18 (“a crimson flow”). The song lyrics were written in 1865 by Elvina M. About Michael English

Michael English (born on April 12, 1962 in Kenansville, North Carolina) is a Christian singer who has been recording music since 1972. A native of Wallace, North Carolina, English performed in his family’s singing group, The Singing Samaritans, from 1972 until 1980. He left the group in 1982 and joined The Goodmans. His first big success in southern gospel music with the live recording of what would become his signature song, “I Bowed On My Knees (And Cried Holy).” He joined and became a lead singer for the Gaither Vocal Band in the late ’80s, Michael English helped popularize modern Southern gospel. He’d later leave the group to become one of the biggest stars in Southern gospel and CCM music in the early ’90s. He racked up four Dove Awards — including Artist of the Year, Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year, and Male Vocalist of the Year.
