It was released in April 1975 as the first single and title track from the album You’re My Best Friend. The song was Williams’ second No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart in June 1975. It has since become one of Williams’ signature songs.

Jeff & Sheri Easter have won several awards through their career. Among them: 5 Dove Awards, 2 Grammy Award nominations and 2 International Country Gospel Music Association Awards. Jeff Easter and Sheri Williamson met in August 1984 during the Albert E. Brumley Sundown to Sunup Gospel Sing in Arkansas. At the time, Jeff was the bassist for the Singing Americans, while Sheri was performing with The Lewis Family. After being introduced, they married ten months later. After that, Jeff and Sheri traveled and performed as part of The Lewis Family, until they decided to pursue a career alone in 1988. About Jimmy Fortune

Born in Staunton, Virginia on March 11, 1955, Fortune began his career as a singer in high school as a member of the Nelcon County High School choir. It was in 1981 when Fortune was discovered by Lew DeWitt of The Statler Brothers. He replaced Lew DeWitt and became an integral part of the group, and he wrote several of their latter-day hits, including “Elizabeth,” “Too Much on My Heart,” and “More Than a Name on a Wall.” He spent 21 years touring, singing, and performing with the Statler Brother. In 2002, after the Statlers disbanded, Fortune continued his career as a solo artist. Fortune and the Statlers were welcomed into the Country Music Association Hall of Fame in 2008.

About Michael English

Michael English (born on April 12, 1962 in Kenansville, North Carolina) is a Christian singer who has been recording music since 1972. A native of Wallace, North Carolina, English performed in his family’s singing group, The Singing Samaritans, from 1972 until 1980. He left the group in 1982 and joined The Goodmans. His first big success in southern gospel music with the live recording of what would become his signature song, “I Bowed On My Knees (And Cried Holy).” He joined and became a lead singer for the Gaither Vocal Band in the late ’80s, Michael English helped popularize modern Southern gospel. He’d later leave the group to become one of the biggest stars in Southern gospel and CCM music in the early ’90s. He racked up four Dove Awards — including Artist of the Year, Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year, and Male Vocalist of the Year.

Alan Jackson was born in the small town of Newnan, Georgia, on October 17, 1958. He grew up singing gospel music, both in church and at home with his family, and as a teenager he performed locally as part of a country duo. He left school to work and married his high-school sweetheart, Denise, who worked as an airline stewardess. In 1989, Jackson became the first artist signed to Arista’s new country division. Jackson’s debut album, Here in the Real World, was issued in 1990 and became a platinum-selling hit on the strength of four Top Five hits: the title cut, “Chasin’ That Neon Rainbow,” “Wanted,” and the first of many chart-toppers, “I’d Love You All Over Again.” He shot to full-fledged superstardom with the follow-up, 1991’s Don’t Rock the Jukebox, whose title track was an inescapable number one smash that year.
